Dear Management Committee,

Welcome to our April 2025 Management Committee Update. These updates are designed to help Management Committees lead successful, active Clubs and I hope that you find the content helpful.

This update includes information about PSPL Board appointments as well as a call out for nominations for the PSPL Board and NSC.

We also share how to create a private Facebook group, some facts about ANZAC day, as well as offers from Probus Partners Trade Travel and Coal River Coaches.

Earlier this year, PSPL invited expressions of interest to fill casual vacancies on the PSPL Board for Representative Member/Directors for New South Wales/Australian Capital Territory, South Australia/Northern Territory and Western Australia.

I am pleased to advise that the following Probus Members have been appointed the PSPL Board: 

• Nicholas Erby as the Representative Member/Director for New South Wales and Australian Capital Territory. Nicholas currently holds various Management Committee roles including Publicity Officer, Newsletter Officer and Webmaster for the Probus Club of Kingscliff in New South Wales.

• Jennifer Law as the Representative Member/Director for South Australia and Northern Territory. Jennifer is currently the Assistant Secretary of the Probus Club of Victor Harbour/Granite Island and is also the Probus District Chair for the South Country area in South Australia. 

• Brian Hoult as the Representative Member/Director for Western Australia. Brian is currently the President of the Mandurah Peel Probus Club and is also a Committee member of the Probus Association of Western Australia

Like Club and Association Committee members, Directors on the PSPL Board are volunteers who are dedicated to the success of Probus. I am sure that you will all join me in congratulating Nicholas, Jennifer and Brian on their successful appointment to the Board.

This is a reminder that nominations are still open for Probus Club members to serve on the PSPL Board as Representative Member/ Directors from Victoria, Tasmania and Queensland. We are also seeking nominations from Probus Club members from each of these areas to serve on the Nominating Selection Committees.

Both male and female Probians who have business experience in finance, communications, or marketing as a Public Company Director are encouraged to consider nomination by their Probus Club. Nominations for the PSPL Board and the Nominating Selection Committees must be lodged with PSPL by 30 April 2025.
