The organisers of the tournament report:

As at 31st January entries have been received from 87 Clubs for 155 teams which equates to around 620 bowlers.. Several Ladies Probus Clubs have entered teams as this is an Open Competition.

The attempt to extend the competition to the Mornington Peninsula and Gippsland was not as successful as had been anticipated with 18 and 13 teams respectively being entered.

The organising Committee will meet on February 14th to allocate and confirm venues to all participants.

To improve aspects of the Finals Day, it has been decided to include the Runners-Up as well as the Winners from each Venue, when a winners and Losers Draw will be conducted.

Note - Invitations to nominate teams for 2012 have been forwarded this month to 410 Victorian Probus Clubs, and with the new Venues in Gippsland and Mornington Peninsula, it is hoped to attract many more bowlers from these areas.
